Under the hood: Who am I?

I started programming as a teenager because I was mesmerized by how video games worked under the hood. I was captivated by graphics engines - specifically the magic of when mathematics and technical implementation translate into visual worlds on the screen. Software gave me structure, autonomy, and a way to build a future with my own hands.

That curiosity took me from hands-on full-stack development and distributed systems to engineering leadership. Throughout my career - including 5+ years at Google - I’ve worked at the intersection of software engineering, product delivery, and leadership. But even as I stepped into management roles, I’ve always stayed close to the technology itself, whether building solutions or mentoring engineers.

Today, I lead senior engineering teams and work on practical AI adoption: moving beyond demos to build systems that are reliable, secure, and maintainable, and to build people to be prepared for success in the agentic era. My approach remains deeply technical. I am fascinated by Machine Learning systems - not just as APIs to consume, but understanding their underlying architectures. I actively spend my time building machine learning models from scratch in Python and PyTorch, owning the entire lifecycle from data preparation to deployment.

Beyond the code and architecture, what excites me most about applied AI is its potential to actually make people’s lives easier. I'm deeply interested in how intelligent systems can support better decisions, reduce friction, and help products serve people more intuitively.
